An aspect of Ahmed al-Sharaa (al-Juliani) has been his decisions over his years of redefining himself in a variety of organizations. Often the ideology of a particular group of his past seems to play second fiddle to the practical applications. So once again, he redefines himself as a temporary president, and invites a variety of organizations to hash it out and reemerge in a evolved structure.
It will take time to draw compromises with the various sectors of the Syrian and foreign presences. For now:
– the Turks, even though not Arabs, can be tapped for some aspects for the economy and security,
– the SDF in NE-Syria as ‘ambassadors’ to Iraq, via Kurdistan-Iraq,
– the IDF with intel exchange to degrade their common enemy, Hizzybillians/Irgc,
– the Western coalition forces, to keep the Turks in check,
– the Lebanese Druze, to exclude the Hizzybillies the Beirut government, in exchange tolerance towards Syrian Druze,
– etc. etc. etc..
