Re: Palestinian president rejects calls for displacement from homeland

peepsqueek is very selective with facts when he posts with a lot of bias against Jews and Israel.

Another major omission :
The Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) under the then-leadership of its founder Ahmed Shukheiry, adopted its original Charter at a conference in East Jerusalem in May 1964. The Charter expressly reaffirmed the Palestinians’ December 1948 waiver of sovereignty and statehood in the West Bank. Article 24 of the Charter also extended the express waiver to Gaza, proclaiming, “This Organization does not exercise any regional sovereignty over the West Bank in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, [or] the Gaza Strip.” This language, unthinkable for the Palestinians and their supporters to embrace today, reflected the official PLO position from the time of the organization’s founding in May 1964 until the Charter was amended in July 1968, more than one year following the Six-Day War.

Before the advent of “West Bank” Jordan was called Trans-Jordan.

The PLO was created to terminate Israel and not to create a state in their so called West Bank and Gaza. The already had those under Jordanian and Egyptian occupation until 1967.
