Those seem like quality shelter tents. The domed ones reminds one of the central and western Asian nomadic peoples, while the pointed ones of the MENA Bedouins. This type of living close to the ground, with quick set-up and break-down of their sheltering, is probably better for the Gazans, rather than the Western system of concrete, brick and mortar.

Gazans are mobile folks, and closing them up them up in concrete boxes stacked multiple layers upon themselves is a sure bet for disasters and easier regime control. Instead, mobility allows for more decentralised decision making.

Although not a Bedouin phenomena, there have evolved about 15% of the Gazan population that have taken to burrowing, and living in the darkness below ground level.
