One would think by now, after so many years, that the Gazans would refrain from committing mass-murder upon Israeli festival-goers and farming folks in Negev. Gazans killing 1100 Israelis in just 24 hours on 7 October 2023, really was an extremely efficient kill rate per day, and the highest kill rate since the mid 20th century. The 1100 deaths were killed just by the Gazans, not including those numerous Israelis killed by responding IDF friendly fire. To add fuel to the fire, the Gazan leaders were promising to repeat the 7 October kill missions against the Israelis.
So now for seventeen months, it is understandable that the Israelis are a bit apprehensive concerning the Gazans’ true intentions. The Israelis are still trying to recover both living and deceased hostages kidnapped by the Gazans on 7 October 2023. So quite likely, this war is still far from over … unfortunately.
