Don’t forget Christians and Jews weren’t behaving much differently not so long ago (including my own ancestors). Keep in mind slavery was a thing for most of human history. Oppression of science. No democracy. Execution of homosexuals. Beating brides into submission. etc.. The Muslim dominated countries just haven’t had their aha reformation moment yet like other groups have gone through. (Turkey tried but backslide with Erdogan)
Proverbial bottom line. Whatever their flaws Muslims are people too. We can’t just dehumanize a billion people as if they are all extremists while pretending everyone in our own group is virtuous moderates. Even putting aside ethics its simply not true.
