Yeah that was part of it. Another part was how liberalism always turns into fascism because it’s never really liberalism but be more of my kind of liberalism. Take France and the hijab ban for example. In a liberal society to wear the hijab or any article of clothing is a derivative of liberty. So France is heading towards fascism in that subtle regard.
The other argument was against democracy. Not that democracy is bad but democracy will inevitable lead to a tyrant. When the times are good you don’t need a sovereign. When times are bad you need a sovereign so the public is willing to give up freedoms and liberties for security. Well when that happens, even if you wrote it down on paper we are a democracy the sovereign doesn’t have to give up their new power. This example is seen with the patriot act with the US. So the US is heading to tyranny in that regard.
