This is clearly a conspiracy theory. You detail how Israel had this plan since the sixties and even shared a map about it, that clearly doesn’t pass through Gaza, in contrast to it being ‘slap bang in the middle of the proposed path of the project’ like you said. You also don’t go on to detail how it would endanger Gaza or the people living there. Personally, if I was a leader in Israel, I am definitely sure I’d look into the possibility of a canal to rival the Suez Canal so as to divert some funds towards my country’s coffers, that’s just simple business. I doubt though that building this canal is feasible but economically and physically considering the geography of where the canal will be situated. This article is clearly biased against Israel so your half-baked conclusion isn’t a surprise.
