*Erdogans biggest handicap is his inability to speak English. It gets him down, he’s prone to feel slighted and isolated in a multilateral setting. His tenure has exceeded that of his EU counterparts by some margin, yet Erdogan feels he doesn’t get due respect.
*Him being unable to understand English makes him think others won’t understand/ interpret his Turkish. Other politicians rarely speak their private thoughts, Erdogan doesn’t know how not to. He has his boastful Sultan moments, most Turks ignore those moments.
