It is not a settler-colonial state because the Jews who began to arrive in Palestine in 1882 and onwards were very poor people who were living on Jewish charity and therefore they did not have the kind of military power that is required to invade and occupy any piece of land anywhere. These were the European Jews that the European Christians wanted to get rid of.
