Sephardic and Mizrahi are Yiddish words, the European Jews did not want to refer to the Arab Jews just as Arab Jews, they came up with a new name for them – Mizrahi – but they are also at the same time called Sephardic which is so confusing. What is not confusing is: Arab Jews: those would be the Jews from Yemen, Iraq, Libya. The Jews who used to live in turkey, Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria came from the Iberian Peninsula. Instead of saying ‘Sephardic’ – people should simply say – Spanish/Portuguese Jews or Iberian Jews.
Note: they have never found a single Jew who has DNA from Palestine – none – zero. The ancient Jews who used to live in Palestine converted to Christianity and then to Islam until none were left.
