Meanwhile, there are fears that the launch of Operation Prosperity Guardian by the US-led coalition to protect international shipping in the Red Sea threatens to erupt into a military confrontation with the Houthis lasting months.
There is a very good reason that the US does not want to engage the Houthis….the US Navy has a vulnerability that the Houthis are aware of.
If you want the full details of the vulnerability look at:https://sonar21.com/the-u-s-navy-is-unprepared-for-a-prolonged-war-with-yemen/
The short version is that US Aircraft carriers are protected by their accompanying destroyer ships…which have limited supplies of missiles and can’t be resupplied at sea…meaning that when each destroyer has used its compliment of approximately 100 missiles, they must leave and go resupply and the Aircraft Carrier can’t stay behind without them. So…with a few hundred drones…the destroyers become vulnerable after their missile supply is exhausted.
