Nice deflection! The UN Partition Resolution gave two stateless people an opportunity to build two independent nations in 1947, the Jews chose to build an independent nation and Arabs chose war. As the British left and the 1947-48 Civil War in Mandatory Palestine got underway, the Irgun came out of the underground and began to function more as a standing army rather an underground organization. Irgun disbanded in 1948
