Re: Children in Gaza are caught in a nightmare: UNICEF

No. Israel is driven in fear and survival. Long ago they were blessed appreciating peace and love but in the melee of today’s world they arrive very driven by fear. Not a blame, but the natural consequence of failing to relate. True for anyone. Today all political groups are shoulder deep in the mess of bitter survival. Israel must admit their response to the Palestinian plight is not adequate. ‘Just relax and live here, under our government’ is not an answer. Palestinians want equal global status as a state? When the strong arm of Israel’s political might denies this, Palestinians became refugees, culturally, politically and economically strangled. Some in Israel admit this, that the issue was never faced as people to people. Have the Arabs resisted Israel and fought back? Definitely. Israel does not acknowledge an imposition on the people living there, who are no less ancestrally entitled.
Hamas is a natural consequence to Israeli’s leaving the Palestinian people with no more than refugee status : the only outlet but accepting a required submission, of Israeli citizenship. What could be bad about that? Such broad entitlement to believe they have no business wanting something more. Something they were no less entitled to following the exit of the governing British.
