I’m aware of a targeted airstrikes in Gaza in 2022 directed at command centers AFTER PIJ threatened to bomb central Israel. In fact, they launched 449 rockets many of which detonated prematurely in Gaza before reaching Israeli airspace and killing Gaza civilians. In case you’re wondering that’s the very reason Egypt has Gaza under blockade because it doesn’t terrorists from Gaza using the Sinai Peninsula as a launching pad of missiles against Israel. Egyptians are smart and know Israel will respond with missiles of their own.
