That says nothing about Abraham’s descendants (plural) occupying Palestine. If anything, the history of that area demonstrates that God was not giving them the land forever because the Romans came and destroyed Jerusalem in 70 AD then came back again in 135 AD and banned them completely…and God didn’t stop either the destruction of Jerusalem or the Jews getting evicted from the land.
