The problem is that there is no “due process” for Palestinians in the OPT via Israel, so it’s not at all clear that anyone from UNRWA was involved in the 10/7 attacks. This is particularly the case when we know that the US and Israel knew about these allegations weeks ago. Given the timing of releasing info right after the ICJ ruling, I remain skeptical. Israel has accused UNRWA of things before that turned out to be unfounded. It has accused Palestinian civil society organizations such as the award winning and internationally renown Al-Haq of having ties to “terrorism” which have also been unfounded. Finally, Israel used to be decent at propaganda, but a wheel has fallen off the wagon during this war. I think the US has provided so much immunity that Israel now just doesn’t care about public opinion even among Americans-that has always been a strategic asset for Israel. But opinion polls suggest it’s not anymore.
