To ban Chawki under the pretext his actions mount to recognition of Israel is baseless as he was acting as in his own capacity as an individual & not representing the State in anyway or form. In light of President Saied’s known anti Israeli position I believe this is hard to understand & explain unless within the larger Tunisian foreign policy being interfered with from another powerful regional country namely UAE. But again why would the UAE take such a step involving a lawyer hardly known by anyone outside Tunisia? Hard to get to the bottom of it.
