One of the reasons I support continuing to strengthen relations with Israel is that I believe it is in our mutual national security interests. There are many parallels between Israel’ and Greece national construction. And many of the same moral quagmires of who is the “real” indigenous owners of land that arose after the fall of the Ottoman empire.
In law and politics precedence is very important. If there is legal precedence for a solution it’s often the selected option. If we are on the same page on similar moral issues that mutually effect us, not only does it improve relations, but it also improves both our national security. You can call one guy crazy but when others start saying the same thing there is pushback against the guy calling you crazy.
