UNRWA lost it’s reason to exist decades ago. Instead of resolving problems it is the problem. It perpetuates a never ending and always expanding sense of entitlement on international welfare paid for largely by the West. This is not sustainable and amounts to a jizya tax.
Shut down UNRWA in every location except Gaza which should have the highest priority at this time. Pass on responsibility to local governments. This should have been done years ago but given the crisis in funding focus should be on those most in need.
Funnel as much funding as possible to other more responsible organizations such as the UNHCR and wind UNRWA down. It’s a corrupt organization and is powerless to prevent Hamas from stealing and reselling food, much like Saddam Hussain did in Iraq.
Reduce executive compensation by 50% to 2/3rds. They are obscenely high and UN treaties ensure that it’s tax free.
