If Hamas is gone (assuming what replaces them isn’t just as bad), the diplomatic pressure will then fall on Netanyahu. He knows this so is trying to find a way to eject Palestinians that continue to support Hamas before that can happen. The immediate problem is Hamas supporters are so dumb they don’t understand their own fanaticism is a critical part of what prevents a Palestinian state. Hamas supporters absurdly think if they continue to be violent racist fanatics they will eventually “win” rather than continue to provide fuel to Netanyahu to kick them out of the region entirely .
In the latter scenario Israel would not have won either, It would be a long term diplomatic disaster for Jews to let its own fanatical element kick out all Palestinians without a state. it’s a lose lose scenario.
