Selling bonds to fund a war they’ll never recover from economically is a recipe for economic disaster. Their only chance is the US gives them billions but that’s tied to Ukraine funding which the republicans are against. Hence the government shutting down on Saturday.
If they pass the omnibus are the Americans going to revolt? Another 100B in foreign wars while Americans live on the streets, live paycheck to paycheck, while kids are deficient in math and reading, while student loans are unbearable, while inflation is still rising, while climate change is causing regular natural disasters, while the bottom of the country is giving out but the rich keep getting richer. Sheesh.
