There’s no pleasing you, is there? ….European Jewry looked at other options before deciding on the Levant. Apparently, T. Herzl once considered Argentina as a viable option. Some had already relocated to the Jewish Autonomous Oblast in USSR (Birobidzhan), but faced persecution there, so that plan didn’t gain much traction.
