During a visit to Tel Aviv following the Hamas attack on Israel, Blinken promised to help defend Israel “as long as America exists.” Blinken said that “Israel has the right, indeed the obligation, to defend itself and to ensure that this never happens again.”[139] He rejected calls for a ceasefire in the Israel–Hamas war but said he supported “humanitarian pauses” to deliver aid to the people of the Gaza Strip.[140] Supporters of the Palestinian cause established an encampment outside Blinken’s home in McLean, Virginia, named ‘Kibbutz Blinken.’
Clearly he’s quite happy!
