Re: Israel lost war against Hamas in Gaza: ex-military commander says

Often we tend to think on the short-term or remain trapped into the immediate needs of the present. For the short-term, wars are win-loss, but we know in perspective over a longer time frame, wars continues and we have lulls that are called peace. The wars for the southern Levant have been over thousands of years. Well before the Israelites drove-off and/or assimilated the Canaanites and Philistines, the southern Levant was a home to many wars. So now, Israel attempts to defend, it borders and ward off attacks from its enemies, but peace will only be momentarily achieved. No matter who controls these lands, there will be others attempting to take the lands away.
