This probably seems like a strange comparison. I have a bit of a strange obsession with Genghis Khan and the Mongol Empire. I know what Genghis Khan would have done if a group of his soldiers had killed someone he had promised safety to. Everyone involved would be brought before the rest of the troops and executed. There wouldn’t be any inquiry. Safety was promised. Lives were taken.
