According to Pew 2022 study 18 of the 20 countries middle eastern and north African countries (90%) have laws criminalizing blasphemy and 13 of them (65%) outlaw apostasy. Not everyone Muslim is an extremist but if we are talking statistically no other religion on earth today comes as close to as many religious extremists as Islam.
