On the Palestine remembered website of my grandparents villages there’s a picture of a wedding and of all the people celebrating. They’re doing the traditional dance and wearing the traditional clothing. I’m sure I’m looking at pictures of my ancestors. I never experienced any of these traditions because I was born on the other side of the planet.
