Re: British daily says ‘Enough’ on front page in reaction to killing of food aid workers – Middle East Monitor

“Yeah, I remember – the Brits lied through their teeth to convince the Arabs to revolt against the Ottoman rule, in exchange for promises of independence.”

Apparently those ‘promises’ weren’t very important to the Arabs, since so few of them actually DID revolt against the Ottomans in WW1

— and NONE of the Arabs living in geographical Palestine did.

In fact, the few local ethnic Arabs who participated in the conflict AT ALL — like Hajj Amin al-Husseini, later to become Grand Mufti of Jerusalem (and still later, a Nazi ally) — chose to fight alongside their Turkish overlords, and against the Allied Powers.

“Meanwhile, Zionists were whispering their lies to the same Brits, who unceremoniously broke every single promise they made and gave the land promised to the Zionists…”

The land was to be given [back] to the Jews by the victorious Allies because the Allies recognized that they OWED their victory in Palestine specifically to the Jews:

— The Palestinian Jews had, at great personal sacrifice, facilitated Allenby’s victory in Palestine w/ crucial intel, the absence of which would have rendered the logistics ALONE of the Battle of Be’ersheva impossible, and would’ve made the loss of life to the Allied troops enormous https://www.jpost.Com/international/on-this-day-ottomans-defeated-in-world-war-is-battle-of-beersheba-683580

— and this, at a time when the local Arabs, not yet even willing to call themselves ‘Palestinians’ (because the name was universally associated w/ the ‘detestable’ al-yahud) had sat on their hands throughout the conflict.

“… to the Zionists who up until that point had never set foot anywhere near Palestine for 2,000 years.”

And whose fault was THAT? The Jews had been forced OFF their land, and ultimately into the Diaspora — by the militarily colonizing, Arab armies — in the wake of the 7th century Islamic Conquest.

” Yes, we remember VERY well.”

Oh, please. All you ‘remember’ are the hokey details of your rote memorized (and demonstrably fantasized) narrative. Get over it.

And get over yourself.
