Slave reparations has to be one of the dumbest “human rights’ efforts by leftists to date. Comedian Rob Schneider had a hilarious line about it’s absurdity…. .California wants to give money to people that were never slaves, from people that never had slaves, in a state that never had slavery.
Are the African countries that enslaved their own people to sell them to transatlantic slavers going to also contribute in compensating black people? Every country in the world had slavery at some point. Are the Turks planning on giving money to the descendents of people they sometimes enslaved? How about the Arabs? The Chinese? and so on. This obsessive leftist fixation with black people also being slaves is bonkers..This it will open the door to an avalanche of other frivolous lawsuits for various past injustices that no one alive today had anything to do with, In so doing it will have the opposite effect of what leftist wennies imagined….it will generate racism.
Anyone that tries to parasitically shake down the system in this manner will be viewed with revulsion by those that they parasitically expect money from.. The enormous hostility this would cause is fertile ground for further political polarization and even potentially future conflicts..
