“The urgency to make reforms has increased as attention has turned towards the governance of Gaza, once Israel winds up its military campaign against Hamas following the 7 October attack on Israel led by fighters from the Hamas Movement.
“Despite resistance from Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, Washington and its allies say the PA must be involved in administering the enclave once Israeli troops pull out.”
Two thoughts on the above. First paragraph: Israel is using the killing of Palestinians as an cover to keep fighting Hamas.
Second paragraph: Israel troops are not going to pull out anytime soon. The U.S. has just voted to send 27 billion more dollars to Israel, and that’s not to be used for boosting Israel’s local economy, either.
And a last thought: The students on American university campuses see all through Biden’s plans for continued killing of Palestinians. Biden could have stopped this war on day one had he not been so weak.
