He has things exactly backwards. Without the secularists and religious moderates there would be no Israel. It’s the secular and religious moderates that produce innovation that gave Israel not only the ability to defend itself but bring it wealth.
it’s for this exact same reason that the western nations that have secular governments tend to be wealthier and stronger. Religious fundamentalists in any nation harm their own countries. They don’t appreciate that educated people today understand the world far better than anyone did thousands of years ago.
