So the question is: if he told them repeatedly not to attack Rafah but they said that they are going to do anyway, what good is talking to them over and over again? Egypt is receiving billions of dollars from the US government for a reason and that reason is to make sure that the Egyptian public is kept under control from attacking the Jews next door. In other words, the salary that the Egyptian government is paying to the Egyptian soldiers is to make sure that the safety of the Jews in Palestine is protected.
