The police know they are outnumbered and their only means of exerting control is by the “consent of the governed.” Once the masses decide not to comply, the police have only the option of force…which will inevitably be responded to with force. As JFK said: “Those who make peaceful revolution impossible, make violent revolution inevitable.”
