I was one of those intelligent, talented kids who went to school with children of the rich. They are not all monolithically insensitive as you might think. There are some whose humanity cause them to question the status quo they have been given, who begin to question and see through the emptiness of vacuous wealth and they become agents for change. I have seen some of them found non profits and go on to do great work nationally and internationally, some join religious groups and become patrons, so too with arts etc. I think they are young enough and open enough that this movement may change some of their lives.
Some more famous examples of people like that are Mackenzie Scott, y Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield (Ben and Jerry’s) and so many others.
The thing about wealth people who truly have a conscience and are doing good work, they are not doing it for the public fame or accolades so the public seldom knows about them or what they do. They tend to operate behind the scenes.
