In the Irish parliament, Sinn Fein politician Mark Ward called on the Irish Taoiseach to raise the issue of Israeli sportswashing with the EU, after former Irish international Robbie Keane went to manage Israeli team Maccabi Tel Aviv. Ward also called on the Irish leader to support a friendly football match between Ireland and Palestine.
