While I agree that Erdogan’s most effective move would be cut off the
Azerbaijani and Uzbeki oil, this is far more than a publicity stunt as carlos huayucachi suggests above. Instead of dealing with a small contingent of boats, the sheer number should overwhelm the Israeli Navy.

Will the Israelis shoot at any of the boats coming to Gaza? It is hard to say, but if they do, Israel’s bloodthirsty nature will be further exposed. If not, the naval blockade will be broken. In the latter case, it is not clear how the supplies will be unloaded because Gaza does not have a seaport and the Israelis will not hesitate to fire upon the “Palestinian Navy” unloading the supplies. [Yes, that is sarcasm since there is no such thing.]
