The tag ‘rebels’ originates with US State Department and US MSM. Because, the Houthi-Ansarallah faction, & its demographic tribes from North Yemen, are part of the ‘Resistance Arc’ (Iran/Shia Iraq/Syria) against US-Israeli domination of middle east. The Houthi-Ansarallah faction have basically won the decade long Yemeni-Saudi war & now control vast majority of Yemen, & its military forces. What they are now trying to achieve is essentially a naval blockade of Red Sea, to block eastern access route to Israeli ports, as a direct & unilateral military sanction against Israel. Using whatever operational military assets they possess, & can tactically apply to this task. The reason why they are doing this, is they perceive the current level of military force & violence being used against Gaza, by Israel, as a vastly disproportionate act of collective punishment, against the whole of the Gaza population.
