Before Oct 7, the West Bank economy was continuing to rise. Real Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth reached 5.7%, year-on-year in Q1 2022, driven by increased private consumption and an increase in the number of Palestinians working in Israel. That all ended because of the security issues that arose as of Oct 7.
