It may have something to do with the unwillingness of Israel’s neighbors to let it live in peace. If not for that, Israel would still be within its 1947 borders and there would be no occupation, settlements, or blockade. Jordan would still be running the West Bank, Egypt would still be running Gaza…and Palestinians would be killing them instead of (or maybe in addition to) Israelis.
