Re: As Gaza faces genocide, why is Jordan Peterson fuelling dehumanisation of Palestinians?

Please stop using other people’s narratives to describe your own suffering.

It seems to have never dawned on you there was no military objective, even conceivable, in Tutsi-inhabited parts of Rwanda or in Srebrenica, making any comparison asinine.

Neither Tutsis nor Bosnian Muslims killed a thousand Hutus or Serbs in a brutal pogrom, but were refugees in dilapidated refugee camps or victims of Yugoslavian/Hutu apartheid and completely defenseless, much less capable of attacking.

Srebrenica, moreover, went through years of starvation, and the massacre and deportations represented the end of Muslims, Bosnians and Bosnian Muslims in the Drina Valley, a place where Bosnian Muslims have continuously inhabited for centuries, versus several thousand deaths in Gaza to a population of about a million: no close call. The July 1995 massacre was also merely a culmination of three years’ worth of massacres targeting the Bosniaks. So to compare July 1995 with Gaza represents the fallacy of comparing a part to sum of parts.

Gaza probably has at least fifty times the infantry weapons available to the Bosnian Muslim population in Srebrenica, along with rockets, explosives, anti-tank missiles, and so on.
