Since they are perhaps only a quarter or third of way through the war, there will still be many strikes against the Gazan jihadi war machine. The positive aspect, as the war progresses, is that the non combatant Gazans are slowly understanding the degree of crimes that were committed on October 7th, against the festival goers and farmers in Negev and the continued maltreatment of captives taken on that same day.
Slowly as the war permits more field clinics are being opened in Gaza outside the combat zones. But the targeted areas to be struck by the IDF will depend upon where the Gazan combatants position themselves. So to minimise collateral deaths of Gazans, the populations continue to be shifted from high risk areas to low risk areas.
Approximately a third (15k) of the Gazan combatants have been verified killed, another third made incapable of combat due to injuries and/or being POWs, and a two thirds of the underground military structures still need to be destroyed. So easily the war has additional years. Decades of Gazan sacrifice to build up its war machine, and years of IDF sacrifice to degrade it.
