Do not be deceived, Mormonism is not Christianity. Here are some world view differences.
Christians do not believe that God the Father was perhaps once a child, mortal and progressed to become what he is now. We do not believe we have heavenly parents, nor that marriage in a temple is required for us to have salvation in the fullest. We do not believe that we will have a posterity that will be as innumerable as the stars of heaven. We do not believe that we will become gods and have jurisdiction over worlds, and these worlds will be peopled by our offspring. NONE of the above is considered ‘Christian’ by ANY Christian denomination, yet Mormonism teaches all of this.
