Only one reason was given by the European news why they wanted their state in Palestine and they said that their ancestors used to live there 2000 years ago and then they were kicked out by the Romans – and therefore they would just be returning home! there are many problems with this claim: these are a European people who had never set foot anywhere in the Middle East until they began to arrive in 1882. the man that these people consider him to be their ancestor by the name of Abraham was not from Palestine but from Mesopotamia and therefore Palestine is not their ancestral land – nor is Mesopotamia – because the Ashkenazi are a European people just like the Germans!
