“…clearly a mistranslation….”
Funny how anything you don’t like is a mistranslation. But, I’ll give you half a point because Jesus used the words interchangeably.
Jesus is quoted in Matthew 5:21 as saying…”Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment:
Then in Matthew 19:18 we find…”…Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness,”
But all of this is a moot point when applying it to Palestinian children being bombed in their beds as they sleep. Under no circumstances were they participants in any war. They were unarmed and clearly non-combatants who were too young to join Hamas or to even have voted for Hamas. Killing them was, therefore, murder…and forbidden.
I suppose you can say “Israel” had 15,000 “accidents”….but no sane person is going to believe you unless you could show that “Israel” was equally incompetent and had killed 15,000 of their own citizens with such random “accidents” as well.
