Ben Gurion could not count. Yemen’s misery began only when there was mass conversion to Islam, generally about 1400 years ago. Jewish residents were ground down by the spitefulness, wickedness and ignorance of the majority population until they finally joined their brothers and sisters in the land of Israel and formed a state of their own. What a heroic tale!
