Believe the Jews who occupied Palestine at the time of the British Mandate (1917) and comprised 10% of its population might have had semitic ancestors. But that’s irrelevant because Jews of all ethnicities now occupy the area, they are not going anywhere , and they have the power and a powerful supporter to back up their claims. Israel thinks it’s so valuable they have a plan to develop the whole area (called the 2030 Plan) by pumping in billions; 2.) it’s larger than the rest of Palestine combined and has more than enough room to accommodate all current Palestinians plus the 6,000,000 refugees from 1948; 3.) 2.5 million Palestinians already live in the Negev (hint: that’s where Gaza is);4.) the Negev is not the Sahara and can be made to bloom (which Israel well knows) with some serious outside investment. Obviously, the US would have to support the plan and also be willing to invest. Guaranteed that the private sector, with peace in the area, would have zillions for investment.
