Not a day goes by where I don’t think about my deceased mom. My personal belief is to reflect on both the good and bad of loved ones just as I hope happens when I die. This is how the world improves. Fake praise is for fake people.
My mom had many positive traits but her religion just wasn’t want one of them. She meant well but she was indoctrinated as a kid into the Christian religion by her family just as her family before them. I’m probably the first atheist in the history of my family line and proud of it. Its a difficult thing to go against millennia of cultish indoctrination especially when one’s peers still believe the same nonsense.
I had the advantage of being brought up in an era where questioning religion wasn’t meant with criminal prosecution. This allowed science uncover the myths sundry religions peddle. If one requires lying to sustain ones religion it’s not work salvaging. I tried to help her too but she would not listen just as you don’t listen with your different cult. Your hero Mohammed was a narcissist that made up religious manure to satiate his thirst for power.
