All of the people who hail from there regardless of whether they are Israelites or Ishmaelites have a heritage-claim there. Let it be known that “Palestine” was essentially the Latin, i.e. Roman name for the area of the Levant closest to Cyprus. Actually, the 1948 so-called ‘State of Israel’ is an artificial seperatist puppet state propped up by a few political schemers who wanted to establish a politico-cultural divide between the Jewish refugees returning to the ancient homeland from the wastelands of WWII. This seperatist state should never have formed. Rather, what ought to have happened is that the Jewish refugees from Europe should have been encouraged to establish relations of fraternal dialogue with all of the communities still living in Palestine, whether Jewish, Christian, or Muslim etc. And from this, establish a party-equal co-operative government where all communities have equal input. As to the ancestral claims & rights of the Jewish people, they really needed to be actualized within a simple First-Nations/Tribal Land agreement similar to what happens with First Nations peoples in the U.S. & Canada, Australia, and New Zealand with respect to the formal acknowledgement that these lands are the “tribal lands” of Israel but at the same time, this First Nations custodianship does not constitute a right to absolute exclusivistic takeover by these First Nations people re: the political decision-making in all areas at the exclusion of everyone else. However, this artificial formation of the seperatist state of Israel from 1948 onwards meant that all other parties were excluded and that an (again artificial) gulf of seperation between so-called Israelis and other (Gentile) Palestinians was made so that now, instead of all the people of Palestine, whether Jew or Gentile being under the broad geo-political banner of Palestine as was the case in ancient times right up until 1948, you have these unhealthy newly formed seperatist political identities of Jews no longer being Palestinian but exclusively ‘Israeli’ while all the Gentiles remain collectively as ‘Palestine’. This is an affront, by the way, to the cultural history of the entire place and serves as a blockage to inter-faith, inter-cultural dialogue and harmony. The fact is, for centuries, right up until 1948, the Jewish people globally were content with being identified as Palestinians or harking from the land of Palestine in ancestral terms. Why now change these facts? A huge fight all over a stupid ideological barrier that some power-crazed jerks have set-up against the truth about the best way forward being to share the decision-making in geo-political space.
