The first American Secretary of State was Thomas Jefferson (1790-1793) and the first Jewish secretary of state was Henry Kissinger (1973-1977) and in between them there were 182 years and Kissinger was the 56th Secretary of State. Without invading and occupying Palestine, there would have been no Jewish Secretary of State.
