I didn’t think Karim Khan had it in him! Of course, he felt he had to also charge Hamas officials in the interests of “balance”. But there is simply no equivalence whatsoever between the actions of a nation state repeatedly committing ethnic cleansing, a host of other war crimes, and now genocide against the people whose land they have stolen, and the actions those oppressed people take to resist. Israel’s first campaign of ethnic cleansing in 1948/9 involved the murder of 15,000 Palestinians, mass rapes, the total destruction of 500+ Palestinian villages to prevent return, and the displacement of 750,000+ Palestinians from the land that the Zionist movement wanted for their new state of Israel. They have taken more land ever since.
